What to expect…

BT 2012 promises to be one of the most innovative years on record for this event. All the elements you love will still be here: worship (Ty Garvey and band), teaching, free time, recreation. Oh but there will be so much more. BTM, in combination with your youth minsters, have made sure this year will not disappoint! What should you expect? The unexpected.

What should I bring along?

For starters, you should go find everyone you know and bring them! That sounds pretty easy, right? As we gather together on 272 pristine acres in Scott county, there is no better time to grow in your relationship with Christ while helping others do the same. Timber Creek’s cabins are the place to be, just don’t forget your sheets and/or sleeping bag. If you want, you can also bring soap and a tooth brush, but who uses those on a short four day retreat anyway?!

I have been to a lot of Christian retreats. What makes BT different?

Good question! There are a lot of Christian events out there today. However, none of them are quite like BreakThru. This retreat is planned just for you by those who know you. You will instantly be able to connect with fellow students in an environment that is student friendly. What? What we mean is you will be able to just be you. The most awesome part about this: He is here. That’s right. The God of the Universe is ready to meet with you while you are here. What else could you ask for?

The Meat…

Most of us have spent a lifetime hearing about Jesus. Problem is, a lifetime just isn’t long enough! He did some crazy things. Some unpredictable things. Some miraculous things. This year, Adam Robinson and Troy Gambrel will unpack for us a few of these things. What we love about these guys is that they don’t just leave it in the Bible. Someone once said, “Reading the Bible and doing nothing is like trying to eat without swallowing.” These guys believe it. They won’t just tell you what’s in the Bible, they will give you the tools that you need to help you live it out.
