BreakThru Ministries is deep in my heart as a life changing journey.  I will never forget the moment I said yes to Christ as a junior high student at the BreakThru Christmas retreat. God began an adventure in my life that would shape the next 25 years and beyond.  One year after inviting Christ to radically change my life, I found myself riding back on the bus from BreakThru again and sharing my call to ministry with my youth minister. A call to Christ….A call to ministry….because God spoke to me at BreakThru.

Since that time, God has allowed me the privilege to serve Him in many ways. I spent 3 years in full time music ministry, and then 10 years as astudent minister in the local church. During those 10 years as a student pastor our biggest event of the year was….BreakThru!! It seems that throughout my journey God was preparing me for something big. In 1999, He began to whisper a vision that would lead me to a role I could never have imagined. The call on my life was to expand BreakThru Ministries into a year round outreach through building a camp and retreat center.

Timber Creek Camp is the realization of this vision and calling. I became the first Executive Director in the history of BreakThru in 2000.  God’s movement saw the construction of the camp begin in 2003 and be completed in 2004. Today, the ministry of BreakThru and Timber Creek Camp reaches over 60 groups and more than 5,000 people each year. Only God could bring about such a vision.

My adventure with BreakThru continues every day as I seek to live out a definitive mission. We desire for people to receive Christ, respond to His call on their lives, and renew their passion for making disciples. It is God’s way….It is BreakThru’s way.
